The challenge is 2 months long. Plan stages for those 2 months with your own deadlines to be able to achieve quite a lot.

MACHINE
With the oceans depths, it quickly becomes clear that Structural Integrity must increase as we go deeper. What if there is a fire? We will need some form of a Fire Extinguisher that can handle the pressure of those depths. Lastly, because we are so remote from the rest of the world, a deliver of needed hardware and goods becomes impossible. We suggest using The Fabricator which should be able to take any of the resources you have found and restructure it into something more useful.
Deep below it will soon become clear to you that we are not alone. Alien like structures can be seen in the deep distance.
CORAL REEF
No matter if its Earth or an alien planet, the depths of the oceans requires complex ecosystems and some of the bases of the food chain require coral reefs. With this being alien it is quite easy to take creative liberties and design your own. I would suggest thinking about the life cycle of your creations. What do they look like when they start? how about coral that has had time to grow fully? Its quite a fun exercise and one of the main aspects of world building. Life Cycles.
DEEP SEA CREATURES
Sea life can become quite different and even alien as you go deeper into the ocean. Is it predatory or is it prey? The way they were designed in the game makes it quite clear if you should run away or if you are in no danger. Pick from below and just practice your sculpting or modeling skills or design your own. It is up to you.
