With rocks its really about identifying the language and in a lot of cases the rules around what makes this rock look like this type of rock.
Apply a similar approach to the other rocks and you will find its much easier to understand what your looking at.
This rock is in the forest. It also looks like its getting compressed on itself as you can see it curving a bending on the right side. Following the flow and the macro shapes will help get this visual across.
With this rock you will notice that there is a micro directional detail thats visible. Also worth noting id the edges are all not nearly as sharp. They are being softened by the waters constant erosion of the surface.
