The of this challenge is to brush off your modeling skills and be creative! We have partnered up with material artist Ezequiel Delaney to give you a head start. The challenge is split up into two paths, feel free to choose either: A, for a prompt based daily modelling challenge. B, for a 14-step diorama challenge. We encourage you to post progress regularly in the dedicated channel. Let the community help and celebrate your work! If some of the steps confuse you, don’t fret! The important part is to get the work done in a fun way, let this page serve as an inspiration and not a rule book.

30 Day Modeling Challenge

Revealed to your immediate right is the official Dinusty Cardboard Boxtober promps of 2024! 🎊🥳🎉🎃

The list provides you with 30 daily, or weekly (see more info below) ideas to fill your entire calendar!

Imagine the world as though it was made out of cardboard. How detailed or simplified can you make it? Where will you cut the paper to achieve the right angle? Why does the model suddenly look like UV-unwrapping in real life?

With these prompts we want you to see the world in a different way. How an ordinary object suddenly feels so different with the simple change of a material.

A Challenge with a twist! 👇

Feel like taking the challenge outside the realm of CG? Get creative and make your creation with real life cardboard! Will it serve as an insight in how to make it in 3d? Or will you create beauty renders with a camera and a spotlight on your kitchen table?

Challenge the challenge! 👇

Now that you’ve made it in real life — reverse the system, scan your creation and bring it onto your computer into 3d!
